HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE PANEER/HOMEMADE INDIAN COTTAGE CHEESE
paneer or cottage cheese is a key ingredient for most of the indian dishes.This indian fresh cheese can be made easily at home using some fresh milk.Paneer can be used to prepare variety of the indian dishes like,paneer paratha,palak paneer,matar paneer etc.Most of the time i use paneer to prepare paneer sandwiches which is one of my favourites.I crumble the paneer cubes and make delicious filling for the sandwiches,which will be loved by adults as well as kids.Here you can see the step by step procedure for making simple homemade paneer.
INGREDIENTS
FULL FAT MILK-2 LTR
VINEGAR-3TBSP
COTTON CLOTH -TO STRAIN WATER.
METHOD
Boil 2 litr full fat milk in a vessel.Once the milk starts to boil add 3 tbsp of vinegar.as soon as we add vinegar in to the boiling milk,it starts to curdle and whey will be separated from the milk.milk curdles completely .Using a cotton cloth ,drain out the water .clean the paneer using some water to remove the sour flavor of vinegar.squeeze out the moisture .
paneer cubes are ready to use.
Note:
If vinegar is not available we can use lemon juice to curdle the milk.
