Here i have prepared whole masoor dal curry or sabut dal curry using pressure cooker.This masoor dal curry can be prepared very quickly and it tastes super delicious.This protein rich whole masoor dal curry can be served along with some rice,chapathi etc.Sabut masoor dal is highly nutritious and it’s extreamely good to include in our diet.This curry can be preapared very quickly since pre soaking is not required for this dal.
INGREDIENTS
Whole masoor dal-1&1/2 cup
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Green chillies-3
Ginger-1 medium sized
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Curry leaves
Oil-1 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp Water
METHOD
Add washed and cleaned whole masoor dal in a pressure cooker along with 2&1/2 cup of water.Add turmeric powder and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles in a medium flame.finely chop onions,tomato and green chillies.crush medium sized ginger.Heat a pan and add some oil,crackle some cumin seeds.Adding finely chopped onions,ginger,and green chillies.Saute it well.Adding chopped tomatoes.When tomatoes become slightly mushy,add some masala,turmeric powder,chilli powder and coriander powder.Mix well for 1 minute in low flame.Now we can add pressure cooked masoor dal.Pour enough water as per the desired consistency of the curry.Add salt as per taste.let the curry boil very well for 3-4 minutes,until all flavours will get well combined.Finally add some curry leaves and switching off the flame.Curry is ready to serve now.Best combination to have with some steamed rice or chapati.
